A teardrop holds its shape when nothing is moving.
Custom Teardrop Flags makes teardrops to order — indoor expo and foyer flags, outdoor kits with the right ballast, true double-sided blockout builds, pole kits and spares, and multi-site rollout programmes.

Nearly every flag sold is sold on how it looks outdoors in a breeze.
Most of them are then put up in an exhibition hall, a foyer or a showroom, where there is no breeze at all — and a shape that needs moving air just hangs down its pole and shows you a vertical stripe of your own artwork.
The teardrop is the shape that does not do that, and everything on this site follows from why.
Why we exist
Teardrops get sold as a shape option in a dropdown, with the artwork dropped into a rectangle and the base thrown in as an afterthought.
So the logo comes back with its corners eaten by the curve. The text set to full width vanishes as the shape narrows. The flag is quoted at a height the venue does not allow. And the base is whatever was cheapest, which is why it is lying on the floor by lunchtime.
The closed curve is the whole product
The leading edge of a teardrop is a closed curve fixed along a pole sleeve, and the fabric is under tension from the top of the arc down to the base.
That tension is what makes it read as a complete shape in still air. It is a structural property, not a styling one, and it is the entire reason the teardrop dominates indoor venues while other shapes stay outside in the wind.
Artwork is drawn to the arc, not placed on it
The curve is not a frame around a rectangle. It eats the corners of anything laid out as one.
A logo centred on a rectangular artboard loses its top corners. Text set to the full width disappears as the shape narrows toward the point. So we lay out on the actual cut line, and when type will not fit we move it down the flag rather than shrinking it into the tip where nobody can read it.
The base is the product
A teardrop is a lever with a small footprint. Whether it is still standing at the end of the day is decided entirely by what is underneath it.
Indoors that is a cross base sized to the height. On grass it is a ground spike, which is cheap and almost impossible to beat. On tarmac or paving there is nothing to spike into, so the only anchor is mass — and the weight has to be a number on the quote, not the word ‘weighted’.
What we say about print area
A teardrop carries less legible copy than a rectangle of the same height, because the curve takes it.
If your brief is the most readable message per pound, a blade or a rectangle is the better product and we will say so — even though you came here for teardrops.
Double-sided means two panels
A true double-sided flag is two printed panels with an opaque blockout liner sewn between them, so both faces read the right way round and neither ghosts under hall lighting.
Single-ply flags print through the fabric, which makes the reverse a mirror image. That is tolerable on a symmetrical mark and unreadable on text. We state which one you are buying, and we will tell you when a flag against a wall does not need the upgrade.
How we price
No dollar figures on this site. Price moves with size, single or double ply, the base, the fabric and quantity, and it drops steeply across a multi-site rollout. Send the details and a real quote comes back the same day, with a lowest-price guarantee if you are already holding a cheaper one.
What we will talk you out of
Double-sided on a flag that stands against a wall. A weighted base where a ground spike would do. A whole new kit when the poles you own will take a reprint. A teardrop where a blade would carry your copy. And any flag taller than the venue allows.
Every one of those costs us money to say and saves you more.
